CooL Compressions CPR provides OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Certification classes that meet the requirements of either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). After the successful completion of this certification you will know how to protect yourself and others from the dangers of handling blood or blood-containing materials

Bloodborne Pathogens Certification AHA Heartsaver®

This is a video-based class that will help students understand what Bloodborne Pathogens are and why they are a concern.  Focus is on the risk of exposure and how to reduce the exposure to yourself or others. This instructor-led course will prepare you for addressing any concerns when dealing with blood or blood-related materials and is based on the PACT acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) to reinforce critical learning points.

The Bloodborne Pathogens Certification course is designed for anyone who may come into contact with blood including, correctional workers, teachers and school personnel, childcare workers, health and fitness club staff, security guards, hotel housekeepers and tattoo artists.

Bloodborne Pathogens Certification ASHI

The ASHI is a video-based course that includes information and instruction what Bloodborne Pathogens are and what to do if one comes into contact with blood or other infectious materials during the course of performing their work duties.

You may need this course if in your daily workflow you risk exposure to blood. Some common careers include:

  • Correctional officers
  • Private daycare providers
  • Dental office employees
  • Athletic trainers and coaches
  • Basically anyone that comes into contact with bodily fluids

After completing this course you will have a true understanding of what to do if exposure occurs, and how to prevent such exposure.
