American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) has a motto:  “To improve the safety and compliance in your workplace.”

This CPR certification and AED certification class, (CPR AED Certification) is closely based on peer reviewed scientific studies and conforms to the American Heart Association’s 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC.   The ASHI specifically intends this course for individuals that are not in the healthcare industry. AHA Heartsaver® CPR AED Course – Denver, CO

The American heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® CPR AED course is a program for individuals without medical training that are required to have CPR certification from American Heart Association for automated external defibrillator skills and training.

Individuals who want professional training to prepare for unexpected emergencies to help a victim of cardiac arrest are welcome to take the course as well.

This CPR certification & AED certification class will help you identify a person experiencing cardiac arrest, call for help and get emergency responders on the way and provide help to the victim until the paramedics arrive. Professional Healthcare Provider CPR Certification & AED Certification Classes – Denver, CO Region


AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Course

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a course you are probably familiar as a professional healthcare provider.The American Heart Association is the largest voluneteer organization with the goal to give you the up to date scientific findings to perform BLS in an emergency. All standards of training are up to date for CPR and ECC.

The BLS course will help you recognize life-threatening emergencies and give you the high-quality skills you need to respond appropriately and professionally. This CPR certification & AED certification class will train you to execute high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations using a barrier device and properly employ an AED in a timely manner. You will receive hands-on training with the use of feedback manikins in simulated clinical scenarios and learn to deliver life saving basic life support from our basic life support classes for adults, children and infants.

BLS – Instructor-Led Training

This course is best for professional healthcare providers that have never taken the Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED certification class, or have allowed their CPR certification to expire.  This course is instructor-led and focuses on giving you immediate feedback while demonstrating the skills you learn.  The course provides you with both the cognitive elements of science-based life support as well as the psychomotor component of physically practicing BLS through testing and skill demonstration. You will will practice your skills on adult, child and infant feedback manikins for cases of cardiac arrest and choking, and learn to properly employ an AED.

HeartCode® BLS Blended Training

Part One: Virtual Classroom e-Learning

This AHA program is equivalent to a BLS – Instructor-Led classroom certificate but with a slightly different approach. If you are comfortable with taking courses online, this virtual classroom may be the way to go.  You will take the course online and learn your BLS knowledge and skills through real-life simulations, animations and interactive activities.  This course can be taken in a setting of your choosing rather than the traditional classroom.

To get started with the e-Learning portion of this course, Register with the AHA.

Part Two: Hands-On Skills

Once you have completed the online course the next step is to demonstrate your skills in the classroom with an instructor.  You will be expected to demonstrate your skills and knowledge through practice and testing. Upon successful completion of the HeartCode® BLS Blended Training, you will receive the BLS Certificate card just as if you had taken the full classroom, BLS – Instructor-Led Training.

BLS Renewal  Course

This course was recently added for those that need to update their BLS certificate prior to it’s expiration.  If your BLS certificate has already expired you will be required to take either the BLS – Instructor-Led or the HeartCode® BLS Blended Training to renew your certification.

The BLS Renewal Course covers all the same topics as the Full BLS Course but in a condensed manner.  This class is fast paced and assumes that you will review BLS basics prior to attending. A walk-through tutorial may be helpful before you attend. You will still have an AHA Instructor to guide you through the material and help you practice your skills, and you must demonstrate your skills and take a written assessment as you would with the Full BLS Course.  This course emphasizes Infant CPR, proper AED use and choking.
